Good if you can take many false alarmsSep 07, 2010 Great volume control.Nice different sounds. But with all the adjustments made I still had way too many false alarms. There where no deer, tree's,other cars or people that could affect this unit. I mean it worked perfectlly when it worked. But it also worked just as imperfectlly.
Awesome at firstSep 06, 2010 This product was a welcome addition to our existing security system. It worked great for about two month. Suddenly it started "going off" all the time; then it completely died. We only used it for about 4 months. So sad, it's still mounted on our tree as a deterrent... haha!

short life span.Aug 22, 2010 Don't work in the Florida sun for more than 6 months wires come off bat pack and some just stop working for some unknown reason. They really work well when they work but I have been using them for about three years and I am tired of replacing units. I wish there was something like these that lasted.
Awesome. Just what I need.Aug 02, 2010 I needed a driveway alarm. My house is 100 ft from the gate which is 1200 feet from the road. I always miss the fedex and ups people along with others who come out and I cannot hear them to let them in the gate. I dont keep the gate open because of my guard dogs. I knew my sister had a great driveway alarm and so I asked her what she had and this was it. It works perfectly at the gate. I just wished I could put it further down the driveway for a little more time in knowing of someone comes up. I tried facing it with the driveway but apparently the beam needs to run across it and not with it. Nevertheless...It is awesome for me. I have a security camera facing down the driveway so I know who is here with a flip of the tv channel without having to go outside.
unreliableJul 02, 2010 quit working after a short time. it will recognize motion but fails to transmit. Other dakota products are porne to water getting to the electronics. you have to apply your own sealant to keep the rain out
