The latest toy jukeboxAug 20, 2009
By jukeboxexpress
"Dan"
The idea of this new toy is very innovative. Aside from not accepting money, it functions just like the old jukebox wallbox selectors did. Although it looks nostalgic, it contains speakers similarly to the newer wallboxes that have been used for the last 30+ years. The FM radio is a waste of time as I doubt that hardly anybody would use it. The ability to preset the different radio stations is pretty cool. It does sound acceptable for a small table-top stereo.
The painted finish and the lite-weight makes it feel cheap-o. I don't know how someone could link a pearl-white paint job to Elvis. The Elvis version of the real Wurlitzer "One More Time" jukebox was painted lacquer satin-white. Chrome, even the fake stuff, would make this toy seem more real. The levers to flip the pages should be longer as it's hard for someone like me(with large male fingers) to flip the pages. I would be real careful with this one as it seams like it would break easily.
If you go to the Tyrell Corp. website, you can download the program to make your own MP3 CD-R's for free. This is so that you can make your own CD's that will function like the provided one does, but with the music that YOU choose. Not everyone wants to hear Elvis, or if you get the other model, 50's&60's pop/rock music. I downloaded it, but I couldn't get it to work.
Overall, this toy is pretty cool, but it is just an expensive toy or curiosity. Who knows how long it will last. The only extra feature that would have put this toy over the top would have been a remote control.

Terrible SupportFeb 06, 2009
By R. timms The Company Tyrell I believe is out of business.
The CD and Title strip software does not work.
Tyrell does not respond to Phone, E-Mails.
Cannot register product the Web site faults.
The unit itself is nice, But you cannot make addition MP3 CD's
Warantee is worthless if you can't contact the company.
Not what is advertisedDec 07, 2011
By Iggy "Plays MP3 format music CDs ". No it doesn't! The songs on the CD that comes with are in JB format not MP3. In order for it to work you must go on line and download the software to convert your MP3's. The problem is the company is out of business and the software is nowhere to be found. Contacted the seller who sent me a non-working number to Tyrell and suggested I take it to an electronics store for help. I thought THEY were an electronics store! THEY KNEW!
Every link on the internet show tips on how to make the software work, but the software, any software can't be found.
It's a shame cause really is cool. Using the Elvis CD that came with it, it looks sounds and works just like the real deal.
Elvis Jukebox & SoftwareJul 30, 2011
By Raymond T. Smith Nice product. Great seller. My jukebox had a problem. I could not select some letters and numbers. (They would not light up to select.)
That kind of thing can happen with any product. I contacted the seller and they sent out a replacement even before I sent my broken one back.
They even paid the shipping both ways. What a great company and what fast service. I will be doing business with them again.
BTW. I wanted to change the CD that came with it. (Elvis is not one of my favorites.) I could not find any info about how to do this so I wrote some software to print out new Jukebox cards and made a CD with 100 Mp3 songs on it. It works great.
The new cards just slide into the machine and they can be selected just like the original.
