This book is great! I really needed this book!May 06, 2009
By Vicky Vale The "New Rules of Etiquette" is a great and fresh approach to an old topic. Etiquette is often stuffy, but this book takes the information and packages it in a way that is hip and fun -- which isn't easy to do. I really liked the information which ranges from table manners to on-the-job manners. I also liked following the fictional escapades of the three characters who encounter etiquette dilemmas throughout the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to do the right thing in all situations.

Nice General Guide to MannersJul 06, 2011
By Edda K. Ruston I wish I could have given this book 4 1/2 stars. I would have given it five stars had it delved just a little deeper into some of the areas. Overall, I think it was a great beginner's tool or general overview for manners in 2011. The information on wine was amazing and I found it very useful. Wine is something I enjoy so the tips in the book were helpful. However, I think some of the areas were a bit lacking- for instance, as thorough as I felt the section on wine was, I got the feeling towards the end of the book that the author was trying to wrap things up quickly and did leave some information to be desired. I did also enjoy the little anecdotes that came before the chapters, and it was not only informative but also entertaining. I would definitely purchase another book like this again or from the same author and highly recommend it-- in fact, I think many people could learn a thing or two from it.

An Excellent BookJul 19, 2009

The New Rules of Etiquette is an absolute must have for all young women. Unfortunately, etiquette is not discussed or taught as it once was. However, when someone breaks it, they become the talk of the town. The content of this book prepares women for the real world and keeps them from making a faux paux that could make or break their career. I highly recommend this book!!!
dissapointing, bleh.....Dec 26, 2010

Not very informative at all. General guidelines discussed. The only thing you probably won't know is the silverware section. There was way too much time spent of "wedding" etiquette. This is also a pocket sized book, with black and white drawings.... bleh, enough said.

Etiquette at its best!Aug 15, 2009
By LaTonya Torrence If you're looking for something refreshing this book is it. The New Rules of Etiquette takes etiquette to the next level. It's hip, entertaining, and extremely user-friendly. I especially like the fictional characters which give the book a twist from the usual, while still providing great "how to" information in any situation (at work or play). I highly recommend this book to women of ALL ages.
