 Brightness over my stoveDec 23, 2010

I installed two of these in my Broan range hood, and they really light up the stove top. My hood has 3 brightness settings and these bulbs do work with a dimmer. LED bulbs were my first choice, but I think LEDs are still too expensive for this application (Dec 2010) where usage is for short periods of time. I bought these halogen bulbs through Amazon from CFA Trading, and they shipped very quickly.
Beam Spread = 40 degrees
Light Output = 550 lumens
Energy Used = 50 watts
Life = 2500 hours
Volts = 120

Thanks to other reviewer Seth for mentioning that this bulb fit into his Broan range hood.
Exactly the hood I have, and they do fit.
My original halogens were 2" wide at the lens. These are 2 3/4" wide, but they did go in (a little snug).
Amazon and Sylvania need to do a much better job of telling us shoppers specs like that on their products. Too much guesswork otherwise.

Got these to go with my Broan hood fan and they work fine.
Can't comment on their longevity but both worked with no issues and as always a great price from Amazon.
