It does what it is supposed to doFeb 03, 2009
By John K. Hayes This product counts steps and it does it well. One day I walked 8-9 miles on a path. I checked the mileage at the end. I then turned around and walked the reverse path home. The mileage should have been the same. The difference was within a few 1/100ths of a mile. I was impressed. I had my GPS along and was going to use that to calibrate my pedometer. However, the GPS difference between coming and going was a few 1/10ths of a mile. That said, you can't believe the absolute distances. Your stride varies between steep terrain and level, between hard surfaces and sand, between when you are rested and tired and maybe even between night and day if you are walking in the boonies.

Good product.Jan 07, 2010
By E. Foster I just got this pedometer yesterday and so far so good. It has a lot of the functions as my old pedometer but its smaller and cheaper. However, the cover is a bit hard to open. It frequently got stuck, however its get better, so it probably is just because its new. Its also pretty easy to set-up.

Oregon Pedometer ReviewSep 21, 2010
By LauraR The Oregon Pedometer was a good value for the money. It has several useful functions but the cover is really difficult to open. While walking, I'm unable to open it. I have to stop, remove it from my belt, pry it open with both hands, and finally get it to open. Once I had to use pliers. Except for the issue with the closure, I have found that it's a nice pedometer. My hope is that, after time, it will loosen up and open properly. (I've had it a month or two.)

By Garden-girl Product is compact and easy to use - however it feels cheaply made. Opening the meter is a hassle but the clip is nice and secure. The screen is easy to read.

Pedometer ReviewMar 20, 2010
By Devern Perry This pedometer is terrible. Originally, it didn't work at all. They replaced it--after giving me hassle online--but the replacement is unusable. It's very difficult to open, and it is more difficult to set the settings. I tried it in an area that I know the mileage of--it was way understated. Stay away from this one.
