Easy to install, effective!Nov 01, 2008 The InGrid door and window sensors are so easy to install. No wires and no screws required, just peel and stick. The whole system is a breeze to set-up. They are very effective. It will not allow you to arm your system with a open door or window. However, you can bypass this option online if you want to leave a window open, for example, but still arm your system. This would be helpful if you wanted to air out an upstairs bedroom but still want to be able to set your alarm. You can easily update it to use that sensor again in the future, when you no longer need it open. This is a very flexible system, with easy to use online controls.

Great product for DIYer'sOct 13, 2008 Works fantastic for me. BTW, during placement of the sensor over the door frame, there are provisions for screwing them in. I did just that with a couple of small wood screws.

Great but .... possible to disarm.Aug 28, 2008 The sensors are very easy to install without drilling into the door frame and also has a way to secure it with screws which will make it harder to disarm the sensor.
However I have noticed that they do not deal well in colder temperatures. I have two on my basement door which isn't well insulated and can get cool (not below freezing) and it loses regularly loses communication with them. It can be quite annoying when you are rushing out the door to go to work. There is a way to bypass them using the console. Not sure how well it would deal if you were to install them in your garage.
Ingrid still is a great and versatile home security package. Very easy to install with a very user friendly interface.
Very easy to install; no hard-wiring required.Jul 28, 2008 These sensors make it easy to add additional protection to your existing InGrid system. Syncing them to your system takes less than a minute. The included risers/spacers allow you to use these with just about any door or window configuration.
They attach via some incredibly strong double sided sticky tape and they blend in nicely with the white frames of my windows. They are however quite visible on my oak door frames. Not ugly, but not exactly stealthy. (See customer images.)
A must have for InGrid users needing to protect more points of entry.
