No complaintsApr 02, 2009
By Eugene Rho This is a product that does what it was intended. It has good range and gives audible beep as confirmation telling you when the system was armed and disarmed properly. The panic button mode function can be turned on and off using the home console.

Great addition to the InGrid system!Nov 01, 2008
By Gadget Girl The InGrid keychain remote is a great addition to the InGrid security system. It makes arming and disarming system as easy and automatic as locking and unlocking your car. You don't need to go to the console and enter your code to arm the system. You also don't need to "race the clock" to get in the house, set your groceries down, and disarm the system. You can disarm the system before entering your house, and arm the system after you lock the front door. An indicator light on the keychain will give you "green" if it worked correctly and "red" if there was a problem. The range is a bit longer than indicated. It says 15 feet, but we've had success in the 30 foot range, through a closed door. So you don't need to install your keypad right inside the house to be able to disarm and arm with the keychain.
The other great thing about this is that you can loan it to a trusted relative or neighbor to keep an eye on your house while you are gone, and they won't be so intimidated by your alarm system. It's an easy as locking and unlocking a car with the keychain remote. Great for responsible kids, too!
Work Just GreatDec 14, 2009

I have had the Ingrid System for over a year now, and it is great. I can arm and disarm it online. I find this feature really handy if someone is coming to the house to check on my dog and water my plants. I can disarm it for them from work, and re-arm it once they leave. I don't have to worry about giving my code to anyone either. The key chain is an excellent addition to the system. Just like a car alarm, you can arm/disarm with ease. The key chain also beeps if the alarm has been activated and has a green light that flashes too. The system is so user friendly, and many things are just plug_and_play. The instructions are so easy to follow.

Think twiceNov 04, 2008
By liquidweaver After purchasing this, they then try to get you to sign their service agreement. I want everyone to be aware of a couple things: 1.) In spite of the fact you pay a premium for the equipment, it completely diactivates should you ever cancel the service, and you are left with a bunch of useless equipment. 2.) There is a 2 year minimum contract 3.) Also, even though there is no finincial risk to InGrid should you cancel early, they slap you with a $175 early termination fee if you should cancel before 2 years.
You might want to be aware of these things before you buy. I should add that I tried to cancel my service immediatly after becoming aware of these things after reading their SLA, and the lady on the phone was about as insistent I stat as an AOL
rep, and lo and behold they still shipped out the order today and charged my credit card (I canceled 2 hours after placing the order, after hours, and here it is 3pm the next day and they
shipped it anyways, so I'm sure the request to cancel was completely ignored)
