5Works and works well. Bluetooth is great!Feb 25, 2009
By Roger J. Buffington
Most new-model HP printers can be upgraded to Bluetooth by adding this little accessory, and I recommend it for anyone who would like to do away with a nest of USB cables. USB is great (a huge improvement over LPT and serial port connections) but let's face it--it is nice when you can avoid stringing wires all over one's computer room.

I have bought and installed two of these USB adaptors -- on on my HP B8550 color photo printer, and one on my HP Photosmart 470. Both are now wireless, and this makes them a joy to use. You can remove a printer to a closet or some other out-of-the-way place, and still be connected to your computer (Bluetooth range is about 30 feet or more.) One cool little factoid -- if you have a Bluetooth cellphone camera or other Bluetooth camera, you can transmit photos directly to the printer and print them out wirelessly. Pretty cool.

A nice little accessory that gives a lot of bang for the buck if you want to eliminate USB cables.

5Great Bluetooth!!Oct 29, 2010
By Sly E. Edwards
My bluetooth Q6273A came with my HP Officejet H470, and it's "Great". I no longer have to use a USB cable connected to my Dell XPS laptop (M1730). I had no problems installing the bluetooth adapter, i did had to purchase a Bluetooth Dongle for my laptop though because my laptop did not come with a built-in bluetooth adapter, but, the USB Dongle only costed me $12.79. So, if you're tired of all those wires connected to your Desktop or laptop, go with "BLUETOOTH".

Set up was very easy. I have it set up on my MAC and Window's laptops and it provides fast and reliable printing without crowding my PC desk.

4With a little work, a great accessoryDec 28, 2010
By D. Flannery "A trained observer"
We have two laptops and a desktop machine that need to print to our HP 6310 All-In-One printer. The desktop is hard-wired to the printer with a USB cord.
But we didn't want to go that route with the laptops that are usually used elsewhere in our quad-level home.
I bought Bluetooth dongles for both laptops, and the BT500 for the printer.
It wasn't as easy to make the connection as I had hoped. Had to do some investigation in the HP support forums to discover the proper procedure (required going into to Control Panel, etc.), but once that was done, it works like a charm.
We use our laptops in our basement-level family room, and print in the converted bedroom/office upstairs, but it is not a problem. The signal travels through the floor just fine, and printing happens instantly.
A very good purchase.
