Great little system for the moneyJul 23, 2010
By Sean C. Green This is a great little system for the money, and its so well built it like a piece of furniture. If you remember how those big old Console Stereos used to sound, that is how the Emerson home audio system sounds. Granted you can't adjust Bass,Treble ect,but it has a rich sound of yesteryear that I love. My parents bought one at Cracker Barrel and I have seen them at J.C. Penneys also. I have been nothing but pleased with this system. Don't expect it to sound like a Bose system, because its not. It has a Retro look to match the Retro sound it produces. I loved digging out the old Vinyl to play again. This was my favorite Christmas gift my parents bought me. Also forgot to add that the Radio is great,I like how the Tuner lights up,just like on a old Console Stereo, and the CD player and Cassette player work well too, but I mainly use the Radio and Record player. I have also got many compliments of how nice it looks. This is a Great little system that looks nice in any Living room,Den or Bedroom. Also the price can't be beat for the quality and sound. Five stars from me.

excellent price for giftDec 14, 2009
By J. Cazares this was a gift to my parents. it works well, it was nice to find one that had the tape deck, cd and record player all in one. it is heavy and well built from what we can tell. it sounds good for the price paid. only con is that it doesnt have the treble/bass settings but it is a good deal for the price we paid

What funJan 05, 2011
By the editor We wanted to surprise my husband, who is an avid jazz guy and had a huge LP collection catching dust. Some were even hifi and not stereo...older than dirt, like from the late 50s It plays great by not magnaimous. It's a bit tedious to have to lift the needle arm, start the record and hand place the head on the record. Miss the old automatic version that played mutiple records. We Like that it has a CD and cassette player, too. (where's the 8-track? LOL) The order went smoothly, but it arrived in the box with a photo of the player outside so the surpirse was ruined. That was a bummer. We are enjoying it, though.

Do not buy for the turntableAug 16, 2010
By flehnerz The tone arm on the turntable of this product is non adjustable and has a very heavy tracking force on records causing rapid degradation and reduced audio quality. It is not worth the money.
