Great for Short Step-UpsJul 14, 2005
By Lonnie E. Holder
"The Review's the Thing"
If you have wood or vinyl floors, and you find yourself trying to get about a foot higher to reach something, this stool is excellent. The stool is heavy duty, so most men will be able to step up on it carrying a heavy load. The finish is polished steel, which looks excellent with a minimun amount of cleaning. There is a good amount of rubber to keep the stool from damaging walls, doors, or furniture if it should be pushed into one of them by accident. The stool has spring-loaded rollers that permit easy movement of the stool from place to place. The rollers retract as you apply weight to the stool so that the stool remains in place. The stool give you 14 inches of height, which is good for many household, workshop, office, or library needs. Even some large pantries or closets could use one of these stools. The steps have slip resistant rubber on them.
This step stool is my preferred variety because of its sturdiness and quality. If you keep the stool clean it will maintain its appearance for years. It is easy to use, move and store. The general design of this product has remained stable for years, but sometimes a product works so well that it seems there is little that can be done to make it better. This product is those nearly perfect products.

Accept no imitationsOct 02, 2006

The Kik Step has been used in libraries for years. It's stable when stepped on, rolls well (even fairly well on carpet), and stands up to abuse. I've worked in libraries since 1972, and have used it in every one. I've tried other rolling step stools, but none are as well-balanced, especially if you step on the lower tier. Kids can't get hurt trying to crawl on or climb on this stool.

Best stool everJan 16, 2007
By S. Davis I'm 5'3" and have a hard time reaching past the second shelf in my new kitchen. I have tall cabinets and with the Kik Step I can utilize every shelf w/o having to carry a cumbersome step stool around. The Kik Step just "hangs" around my kitchen (I got the Silvertone to match the stainless steel appliances). I just gently roll it to where I need it. I got one for my 66 year old mother to make it a little safer for her to reach her tall cabinets, also.

Nice quality stool that is very functionalJul 25, 2007

This stool has a very functional design as it is easy to roll around with your foot and stable when you step on it. Rollers seem to be well made and treads are well attached to the stool. It looks pretty good too in our kitchen with black granite and stainless appliances. My 2 year old is not quite heavy enough to depress the stool over it's spring-loaded wheels onto the floor, so it has tried to scoot out from under him a few times before he got all his weight on it. My 4 year old and 9 year old have no problems with it. My wife uses it to reach up to the top shelf in our tall cabinets and in the top shelf of the pantry.

Exactly what you'd expect...Jan 03, 2007

If you've ever seen these before, then this is exactly what you'd expect. Sturdy and well made, easy to assemble (takes about 2 minutes), these do a super job. They're tough, too. The box this was delivered in was practically demolished - one side was ripped open and crushed, but the stool didn't even have a scratch. Very handy, very stable. SPring-loaded wheels allow you to move it easily, then it drops and "locks" into place when you step on it. You need one of these.
