When my Trimline AT&T Singapore made phone died, I started to look for the old style wall phone; Western Electric hasn't made one since the early 1980's. I kept coming up with Cortelco which some research showed that it is the old ITT phone division. This phone has the quality that you can't find anymore and it is still made at the previous ITT factory in Cornith, Mississippi. It's a great value also.

It has a bell. It has a keypad for dialing. It has a handset. It works. That's really all I want out of a phone, and this does it. No redial, no caller id, no buttons, no power cord. Just a phone.
And it hangs on a wall-jack with no problems and not wires to try to twist and turn and route around. It arrived early and works great.
There's nothing more to say!

We had an old wall phone made by AT&T that quit working properly. As we wanted a similar phone for a land line, this turns out to be ideal. The ringer is a little different (also retro) and it takes getting used to before we recognize it is the phone ringing. The amplifier on the handpiece works better than the old phone. We are very satified with the phone and especially with the rapid shipping.

I got the telephone and immediately installed it and checked out whether I could use voice mail on it as that was the reason I was replacing the phone I had. That worked, and it never occurred to me to check the ringer. The telephone doesn't ring! I took it apart but can't figure out how to fix it, so plugged a phone into a nearby outlet and use it solely for the ringer. Thankfully I had two outlets on that floor.
